Our mission is to help families navigate life. We are the first spiritual and somatic mediation practice that offers families a space to co-create decisions from a grounded place where everyone feels seen and heard. You make the decisions together. Separation and relationships are a journey and Emerge Mediation will be your navigator. Ultimately you are in the driver’s seat. Our goal is that you walk away from the journey prepared, grounded, and ok to live with what you’ve agreed to in mediation. This is your life, your path and you must be ok with all that is agreed to. Emerge’s approach to mediation is flexible to determine what’s best for your family and not involve the courts to decide. Emerge Mediation will guide and walk you through how to get organized and ensure you are making the most informed decisions about your life and family.
Meet Leah Smyth
FOUNDER AND FAMILY MEDIATOR
Since a young person I’ve guided people to navigate through difficult chapters or experiences. Walking the path of my separation and divorce in 2018, I felt a whisper and a calling to become a mediator and guide families and couples through a divorce journey. I’ve lived a life of complex family dynamics, so I have lived experience in this space. I want to help couples communicate and advocate for their desires and how they need assistance in making family decisions.

I founded Emerge Mediation to offer mediation services and divorce/family life coaching outside the typical grain in this space. My services are rooted in having couples/families come to the table grounded and regulated. I am offering a ‘different way’ to navigate life including divorce and to guide couples to agree on solutions that work for their unique family dynamics. You will never mediate in a sterile, box environment – we will mediate online or in person. For in-person locations – think forest, bright, water, fresh air.
